I Am a Concrete Koori
In the second video of the series, we are introducing Konstantina (Kate Constantine), an aboriginal artist of the Eora Nation, from around Sydney, Australie.
Konstantina speaks Gadigal, one of Australia’s indigenous languages, which belongs to the Yuin–Kuric branch of the Pama–Nyungan language family.
In her interview, She discusses her relationship to language, culture and country, as a “concrete Koori”, as well as aboriginal art, the Stolen Generations, reconciliation, and the Voice Referendum which took place on 14 October 2023, a week before the interview was recorded at the Arts d’Australie Gallery in Paris, where Konstantina was holding a solo exhibition.
