Introduction to Classical Tibetan, levels 1 & 2 – Emanuela Garatti (EPHE–PSL, CRCAO)

Classical Tibetan (glottocode: clas1254) is the language the composition of Buddhist texts from the twelfth century until present times in Tibet and other regions with a strong Buddhist influence across Asia. It persists as the language of choice in the production of monastic texts today. The course in Classical Tibetan covers the period from the twelfth to the twentieth century.
